“From the Desk of the Program Director”

Dear Teachers:
As the 2006-2007 season came to an end we regretfully said good-bye to Sister Bellarmine, who has accepted a fellowship to Howard University in Washington DC for her doctorate in Communications. Although we are sorry to see her go, we wish her much success. We thank her for all her good work and look forward to her hopeful return after she has received her degree.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank you for making our services a part of your resources for your classroom instruction.

We are entering into a new era that involves other forms of media in serving our schools.  In addition to our regular television broadcast, we’ve incorporated web-based videos (VCOD).  We’ll also bring back the Electronic Field Trips; we’ve added another component to our On-demand service (VOD), and we will re-offer the Test-Preparation Series for TACHS and other standardized tests.  We also added a few new and exciting shows to our list.

We will also be offering several workshops this year on using media and technology in your classroom when teaching Religion, Math & Science, and Language Arts and Social Studies.

Please watch for the flyers and register to attend the workshops and please check our Resource Guide and the other sections of the web site for more detailed information.

Our broadcast schedule will start the Week of October 15th but we’ll provide you with previews the Weeks of October 1st and 8th.
